On 17/08/2022, Ethical Consumer viewed Apple Inc's list of subsidiaries on the D&B Hoovers corporate research database, which stated that the company had operations in the countries listed below.

China, Israel, Mexico, Russia & Turkey. Russia was included because Sonnerfeld et al. deemed Apple to be "keeping return options open" in the country in the wake of the Ukraine invasion (https://som.yale.edu/story/2022/over-1000-companies-have-curtailed-oper…).

At the time of writing Ethical Consumer considered each country listed to be governed by an oppressive regime.

The company therefore lost half a mark in the Human Rights category.
